Who We Are & What We Do

We're a group of every day people, just like you, who are working to make a difference in our communities. We're an all volunteer organization that derives its strength and its passion from our indvidual members who work as a team to promote equality and other issues.

Mission

We represent the LGBTQ+ community to the Democratic Party, encourage voter registration, promote an active interest in politics, and support Democratic candidates who are committed to the principle that all persons deserve equal rights regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

We value diversity and welcome anyone who shares our vision.

Vision

We strive to build a vibrant, active LGBTQ+ community in the Nature Coast Region and along with our allies, work for true equality. We're creating a future where diversity is a strength.

Values

Intersectionality

Our community stands at the cross roads of many issues, from racial injustice, to women's rights, gun violence and even the environment. We recognize that these diverse issues affect members of the LGBTQ+ Community

Affirmation & Agency

In the context of a world that has allowed little space for many of us to exist, we will foster a space where each of us is empowered to fully exist as complex, multifaceted and whole individuals.

Awareness

We seek to bring awareness about the LGBTQ+ community to our neighbors, local elected officials, government agencies and work with our Democratic Executive Committees to ensure our voices are heard.

Community

Our small rural counties lack the community building structures like Pride or LGTBQ+ Centers which help to build community and activism. We work with local organizations and small business to foster that sense of community

Accountability

We are accountable to our donors, our volunteers and the LGBTQ+ community, serving as good stewards of their money, time and civil rights as we work towards the justice we deserve; We insist on transparency both within our organization and with our partners.
